What is happening in this quest's timeline is literally what is happening in real life. There is no reason for a corporation or a company to keep adding more and more of these "new jobs" when they automate everything they need. Unemployment rates are never accurate and don't take into account people who work shitty part time jobs to just barely survive and those who no longer look for work- like people with useless collage degrees of which there are millions among people in OUR generation. THere were no fucking NEETs 50-100 years ago.
Even if we accept that these new jobs just appear magically it still doesn't change the fact that the labor market is so inflated that workers are utterly replaceable and pay is so terrible. The gap between rich and poor continues to grow bigger and bigger- even in the real world these minimum wage people have their lives subsidized from the government- free food, hosing, education, etc. The money and profit generated from this automation is NOT going to you and me and the average worker but upwards towards the ownership class. What happens when the ownership class no longer want to keep paying taxes and support the existence of the peons? It's pretty fucking obvious.
