A feeling of exhilaration rises in your heart and you're feeling light on your feet. You jump, spin, and swing the weapon in every direction, in an improvised dance of war. Although you have no formal training in martial arts, you believe even a master wouldn't be able to block any of your attacks. As finale, you jump and throw the blade into the ground, effortlessly cutting through the soil. Getting it unstuck is more difficult, but with some effort, you pull it out.
<span class="mu-r">"What are you doing, Illya?"</span> Ruby asks. Even though she has transformed into the Berserker's weapon, she's still able to speak. <span class="mu-r">"You should bash Rin's head for practice, not the ground"!</span>
You stutter. "I-I don't want to hurt anybody!"
<span class="mu-r">"Don't worry, I think her head is as strong as a rock."</span>
As answer, Rin shoots several black orbs from her fingertip in your direction. If you were hit by one of those, you would be immediately disintegrated. However, while you're holding Ruby, you're protected by an A-rank magical barrier, and none of Rin's spells can bypass it. Rin is (probably) aware of this fact, but still, what she's doing is very dangerous.
The practice is short-lived, because after half a minute, the weapon disappears and Ruby takes back her magical stick form. The class card could be used for a round of battle, but not more. Nevertheless, this is a much better weapon than the halberd you're hiding in your bedroom's closet.
"Have you found any of the other cards?" you ask Rin. The three cards that she's showed you earlier are held in her stocking top, but you know there's a total of seven cards. She's the only one who's able to locate them from space-time disturbances. She's also mentioned the possibility of finding the cards by analyzing the flow of the ley lines of Fuyuki City, because the city is governed by the Tohsaka family and she has a special affinity with them.
"Not yet." Rin answers. "You'll be informed in time. You can focus on school, and whatever else kids your age care about." You know that there's nothing wrong with being a kid, but you feel that Rin said that to put you down. You hope that in the future, you can establish a better relationship with her. Deep down, you've always wanted to be friends with everybody.
