Robots of the Ordo Reductor stood in vigilance at every entrance to the chamber, these robots already preparing their weapons to fire upon anyone who would walk before them. Even the more secretive escape routes were sealed with rockcrete, each of these found through Auspex systems carried by the Priests.
Already a kill count was being tallied from these points, from people trying to escape whatever horrors were within the sewers. These people though needed to be terminated lest word of whatever horrors were from the beyond were found out.
One could say these people were lucky though. At least their souls were not counted among the several that had been eaten by both the Daemons and the Pariahs.
The Null Nobilite were in wait at the moment. All of them could hear the rough drilling that was pushing rockcrete and dirt to the other side of the drill system. The capsule was hot with the engines that could barely cool themselves in a low air environment so deep in the world’s crust. It was a machine made by mankind though, and as such it still performed its duty with these troubles afflicting it.
The inhabitants of such a machine waited until the sound of dirt being moved was replaced with the shattering of an outside wall. A large light that glowed throughout the Termite went green as the safety harnesses disengaged and doors open. Quickly the Nulls came pouring out of the chambers laying gunfire into the incoming horde of both cultists and civilians that looked upon them in distinct horror.
It was a slaughter plain and simple. Bolter Ammunition, specifically High Explosive Rounds, would impace the exposed flesh of humans causing them to explode with a meaty thud. Only those who wore armor had a chance against these guns, but ultimately they fell when focus fire was administered in their general direction.
As these people were slaughtered by them the Nulls watched as the rear of these people suddenly caught alight with blue fire. Hideous laughter rocked through the room as a Psyker walked among the people with a devilishly powerful shriek. Quickly several Nulls placed their ammunition into their person who laughed against the onslaught.
He did not last long after that though as one of the Nulls breech loaded a new piece of ammunition. Specially crafted from a purple crystal at the hands of a Primarch, the bullet was sent flying at the psyker. A second later the psyker fell onto the ground with a meaty thud.
The Nulls advanced, knowing that there would be several more horrors before they were done clearing out this wretched place.
