Rolled 85 (1d100)
>>5630225I hate to write it. I really do. Damn I wanted to work for Jeq-young to be a thing... But duh, guess it's time to cast away the leather dress and don The Prince' garb... If you know what I mean.
The way I see it is - Jaq actively told us her stance towards being. That's helpful, but also foolish. Therefore:
A) She's underestimating us. Fair... If this option is true she HAS to go. I really like Jaq, but she has to go. It's the classic Machiavellian problem - keep her close, she can betray you at any time; she's an enemy? She's too dangerous. It's catch 22, and we are losing.
...Or... Psychoanalysis go! Don't fail me again...
B) She's saying all this as a cover - a mask - even for herself, her telling us this isn't a warning, or even an honest opinion, but a subconscious cry for help.
>She was a bullied/powerless kid, exploited and probably left out by peers. This ideology is the reaction to it. POWER... So that she won't be found weak and harmed again. POWER so that she will feel powerful in times she was not.>She's a smart kid. It's easy to throw lives on the stake when you don't have emotional bonds with them, even easier when they harmed you, and it's difficult to connect when everyone around you is just dumb from your perspective. She's probably looking at other people like objects, for that's what they were to her. Engagement on purely transactional basis - others get whatever, she gets socializing needs met, etc. Lack of understanding from others only makes her double down.>Nobody desires Power for powers sake, there is always an underlying motive. Spite? Shes angry for this particular abuse... Or more importantly, Fear - shes going to be abused more when weakness is spotted, hence all this SC fiasco. Desire for recognition, and Fear of being alone (emotionally)?>She's reached for this knowledge out of spite? To be a 'real deal' in the lives of others? If they don't respect her, she can just gain POWER and make them kneel. >I don't like to believe that sociopathy exists for real, there has to be underlying experiences that made Jaq don the mask she does. I need to believe that.If B is right, she's a deeply scarred child - a victim of life's circumstances, that reached for the only weapon she could - her intellect, and possibly can be salvaged. IF anything else is true, we are giving a Machiavellian free reign... Heh, Every accusation is an admission.
> Talk with Jaq, don't expect her to walk out of her shell, but be there for her, try to understand, don't claim to understand. Don't let her commit to much to this mask - don't let her kill/seriously injure people.I need to take a break.
