>>5955512>10>6A lot had changed, yet a lot stayed the same. The houses were all there, but the deep dugouts where the sewers were going to be built had appeared. A large wooden piledriver slowly knocked a log deep into the ground, there were piles of construction materials all over the place and hundreds of people milled around the town.
You saw Alteracis working on their daily tasks, the prisoners from the camp in irons shovelling dirt, the migrants from Underbelly helping the few Stonemasons at work. Not even having their friends and families arriving would stop the work.
A small tent city had started to form next to Dawnholme, Stonemasons having prepared everything ready and even having made a grid for the tents. The things were all very well thought and planned, you liked that.
When you rode to them, they were more concentrated on greeting their friends and families that they hadn't seen in a long time. When you dismounted, it felt like you had been forgotten until Master Pelija approached you.
"Prince Perenolde." He said and gave you a bow.
"Master Pelija, I came here as soon as I heard the news." You replied.
"Mr. Foxton sent the rider to tell you." He said. "Most have already arrived and it looks like with you were the rest."
"It took them longer than I had expected to come here." You said to him.
"There were a couple problems they faced, but the first group is here now." Pelija replied and continued. "Prince Perenolde, we should talk and you should meet a few new people."
"I want to talk as well." You said back to him.
There were a lot of Stonemasons here, it looked like several hundred at minimum and more would be coming based on what he said about the first group. You felt like there was going to be some navigation required when all is said and done. Alteracis, those from Underbelly and Stonemasons existing in peace probably requires some work to be done.
…
"Welcome to Alterac." You said after stepping into a tent after Pelija had entered it. "I am Prince Alric Perenolde, nice to meet you."
With Pelija there were a trio of people waiting for you in the tent.
"I hope the journey here wasn't too arduous." You continued as the newcomers just stood there looking at you.
"The man on the left is my old colleague Mr. Morgan." Pelija introduced him and the man bowed.
"Prince Perenolde." He greeted, he knew how to act. Morgan was wearing a woollen pullover and you noticed a short sword by his side.
