Even when other legions were already well and truly over it or had purged it, it was still a danger to them.
The "ticking time bomb" as it were when they should have been over it.

Also evidently, even worse, before the blight itself a large shipment of 3rd Legion was lost in transit in one of the Fabius Bile novels. This ended up being the work of Trazyn.
