>Encounter: New Hope Desert BikersThe truck slows down on the approach until you stop at about shouting distance from the bikers. They're not pointing guns at you, but they are armed. Just like you all are as you walk out of the truck and approach them.
"We're just passing by!" you call out approaching them, your guards flanking you.
"Who the hell are you guys and what're you doing?" a gruff voice shouts out as he parks his bike and walks over. He's also got his own guys.
"What're these guys wearing?" one of lead's guys calls out. "You ask me they're dressed like a bunch of fagg-" He's interrupted by one of his guys elbowing him in the side.
They're dismounted, talking, and even interrupting their own guys throwing insults at you guards' uniforms. So far, it's going well.
"We're the Sun Belt Crusaders and we're just passing by here on the way to Brenda."
He visibly reacts to you mentioning 'Brenda' and carefully eyes you over as best he can as the two of you close the gap until settling at a comfortable distance.
"Brenda? The hell you guys want to do at Brenda?"
"We're exploring the area here after talking with the Electric Union at the Palo Verde Nuclear Zone. Just got done talking to the Boss. We were hoping to speak to the people there at the town. We've even heard there are some bikers around there patrolling the area. You wouldn't happen to know anything about them?"
"Heh, we might." He looks to his guys, then gives you all another good looking over. "You guys are dressed funny, but you don't seem like the raiders out east." The sun at this point is getting low enough to both paint the desert landscape with a variety of hues and signal that you shouldn't stay around here for too long. "What would you guys want from the Brenda bikers? Tell me like you were talking to them right now." You're pretty sure you are.
He brings up a good question though. What exactly do you want to accomplish from this little detour?
