Why are you in this place? How did you get here? Are there more floors? Where is the surface?
You decide that it's best to begin answering these questions by digging through the ceiling, your roots harden and quickly impact against the bricks, breaking them apart and revealing rock. You focus your time on excavating, digging, and digging without caring much about the traps or the life forms around you.
Although you notice them getting near, most of the creature walk past, it seems they like to travel from one place to the other in groups no bigger than five.
The more you dig, the more rock falls into the ground, you begin to toy with the idea of attaching part of you against the newly dug rock, in a way of leaving a safe reserve, incase your body falls apart.
Hours and hours pass, and you realize now that you are starting to turn into a column in the center of the room, spores, and roots secure half of your body while the other half rests in the ceiling.
*CLANK*
As you break through a large boulder, the rock gives in shattering and letting your roots go right through, it is dark and plenty of room to move, you just found another floor. Almost acting on its own, your body begins to grow against the walls and floors of the new floor.
But then, you sense it, you are not alone. It's dark and hairy, with countless eyes and legs.
And as quickly you as notice, it attacks. The dark legs sink into your flesh, you try to defend yourself with the root spears, damaging the legs to its sides, but it quickly jumps back.
More creatures, noticeably smaller, come from the darkness and jump at your roots, they bite it but the roots are too tough. You quickly begin to focus on deflecting attacks and trying to spear them.
