>>6040414“Say, 19, you’ve been gathering up quite a lot of power. Ready to use some of it?” you ask.
She looks to you and gives a nod. “I believe so. Do you have a plan?”
You draw the Sword of Braves. “This worked on Hirudegarn, it just might work on this Majin. Let’s stick together, focus on tactics, and make sure we both hit ‘em hard. I’ll keep the worst of Zelos’ abilities at bay. On my mark, maybe give the Sword of Braves a little boost?”
19 gives another nod. “Understood. I am ready.”
The two of you launch forward, and as Zelos attempts to reseal the Majin, he’s forced to block a surprise attack by 19, backing up, raising a hand into the air, summoning a large, metallic needle sparking with electricity, and tossing it at her. 19 dodges it, but you actually use the Sword of Braves to slice it in two, right down the middle, as you fly under it and set off the Wind Element Buster around you! Zelos glares at you, unsure of what you just did, and attempts to summon a tornado around you, but it fails to fully manifest! Perfect!
“You dare! YOU DARE use a weapon of the GODS against one?!” he snarls out in disgust and wrath, once more trying to call forth a tornado around you, to no avail.
“This is a weapon meant to stop monsters and demons that threaten the peace of worlds, a blade of able to channel the hopes and dreams of multitudes.” you declare as you point it at him. “If it can work against you, what does that make you?”
…And just then, before he can answer, the Majin lets out a blast of black hellfire from its beaked mouth, 19 and Zelos avoiding it but you having to block the attack to keep this Wind dampening skill up. It’s more damage, but it’s damage you can take. And what’s more, you are able to let your energy flow into the Sword of Braves, and in a sudden slash, you repel the black hellfire, surprising the Majin, a radiant glow coming from the sword purifying the dark energies left behind by the flames.
Zelos tries to summon multiple of the large metallic needles, still infuriated that his Wind Magic isn’t working normally, and sends them at Izumi… only for them to vanish, suddenly appearing above the Majin, stabbing into it and electrifying it. Ahaha, thanks, Chiaotzu! The Majin roars out in pain, its body setting ablaze, the sheer heat of it turning the sand below into glass, then cracking under the pressure coming off of it. Zelos attempts to switch up tactics, and holds both hands forward, a sphere of energy forming in front of him… one filled with not just Light Magic, but a type of Ki you can’t completely sense. It’s odd, yet… there’s a sense of power coming off of it you can’t ignore.
