You give a shrug. Ryuji was right, you were going to have to actually interact with others eventually. Even you believed the game to be a team game and the most fun came from working with others. Why not do it on your own terms then? "Sure, why not?" You say. Ryuji pumps his fist.
"Yes! So you wanna join our guild?" He finally asks the thoroughly confused waitress. "I mean we don't have one right now but we'll make one and you can be part of it. We'll help you get ingredients and stuff."
"I..umm..." The poor girl stammers.
"You don't have to if you don't want to." Irene says in her usual tone outside of the game. "He gets really passionate about things but don't let it pressure you. Like he said, we don't have a guild right now. It's just an idea he came up with right now."
"No!" She says suddenly before clapping her hands to her mouth. "I mean...No one's really invited me to play with them. When they hear I don't like fighting they just kick me from their group. I just want to cook and grow plants."
"That's fine." You say simply. "Ryuji already said it. He's willing to help you fight monsters and keep them off you if you want to gather things. This game is huge. Don't let people tell you how to play it. Not to mention, this is a that rewards teamwork. If you need help then we'll help."
"Yup! You don't gotta worry about a thing." Ryuji says. "Just give us a shout and we'll come help."
"Just get used to the idea that these two are gonna accidentally drag you into some crazy scheme. Like running into a blizzard." Irene smirks.
"That's what makes the game fun though!" Ryuji protests. He looks at the waitress. "So, you wanna join our group?"
"Y-yes!" The girl says and Ryuji waves his arm.
"Well come on and sit. We got plenty of food left. Help yourself." He says and raises his mug. "To our new guild!" Irene shakes her head and grabs her own cup.
"To whatever the hell we have planned." She says joining in. You laugh and take yours to join in.
"To all that." You add.
"Oh right. Here..." Ryuji leans over and pulls a mug off the cart and pours some of your drink into it. Then hands it to the waitress. "Welcome to the group uhh..."
"My name's Chloe." She says as she takes the mug and clinks it against the group's. "To good food!"
"Amen to that!" Ryuji concurs and drinks deeply. "Now, let's finish up this bird and head out."
