After leaving her room, you left Louise to reflect on everything that had happened to her, and everything that the two of you talked about. You had no doubt that Reese was extremely nervous about having a 1 on 1 with her newfound “thrall”, but you both knew that it probably wasn’t a good idea for the two of them to meet in her current state.
Louise would need some time to work through the pain and shock caused by her recent transformation. And having the cause of said transformation stand in front of her might not be the best thing for either of them.
There was a chance that it wouldn’t result in a fight or argument, but you simply couldn’t take the chance so soon after she’d woken up. Sometimes it was better to let someone simmer before they had a chance to explode. Her emotions would stabilize with time, and eventually, she would be ready to meet the other members of the team again.
You had no idea of how long that would take, but you weren't planning on rushing her recovery. At the very least, it would give you time to figure out how the hell you were going to get in contact with Blade, or how you were planning on convincing him to take on a pupil.
But that was a problem for another day. For now, you and Reese spent the remainder of your time there updating everyone else on Louise’s condition. Julia seemed the most upset about the visitation restrictions, while Nico and Rintrah decided to work on a secret “gift basket” that they thought would make her feel better. They refused to elaborate any further on the matter.
Madame Webb, Matt and Marc expressed their regret upon hearing about her condition, but ultimately accepted that all they could do was wait until she was up to having visitors again.
Before you left, you thought about taking Donnie back with you so that you could return him to the Morlocks, but Strange and Wong managed to convince you to leave him there for another night or two so they could run a few tests. Reese reassured you that she would help watch over him as well, clearly not willing to leave until she was sure that Louise was alright. You nodded, said your goodbyes to her and Donnie, gave the sorcerers your gratitude, and left the Sanctum feeling at least 10 years older for your troubles.

On the way home, you stopped by a few 24/7 grocery stores and pharmacies to pick up some things. You’d been planning on throwing a party for Cindy as a reward for having taken her entrance exams. Sure, it was a little early, but you could always throw another party when her acceptance letter came in the mail.
You dropped the supplies off at Vic’s house and woke up your grumpy brother in the process, who carried them back inside and stashed them away for later.
More than anything, you wanted to use this as an opportunity to inject some enjoyment back into both of your lives. The two of you have experienced enough gloom and doom to last a lifetime, and you could use something to take your mind off of your more pressing issues.
