Engines dimmed and look outs were placed at strategic places about the planet’s orbit. These allowed the Lucian fleet to cut visual range of the enemy and thanks to the planet they would not be spotted psychically. Those that were in visual range were running on low power in order to keep the appearance of dead ships.
In total the Lucian fleet numbered thirty Tartarus Class Destroyers and ten Cruisers that were similar to the Onus Probandi.
It was then that they arrived and TalOS received a great amount of information about the enemy.
They had arrived in the same spot that TalOS had estimated just fifteen minutes prior. It quickly became obvious the reason the fleet was quickly noticed was because it was by far larger than anything they had fought previously.
Instead of a simple four or five Cruiser fleet this one was much more built for war. There were roughly fifteen Cruisers followed by twenty Destroyers on their side. TalOS had to parse data as a secondary, but it seems that their destroyers did not carry the same amount of firepower that the Tartarus Class vessels held.
This fleet was still a match for TalOS’s.
+They won’t be fooled.+ TalOS said as he studied the ships more and more.
The moment they caught sight of the powered down ships the enemy fleet was already preparing their guns. Either some form of information got out about their tactic or by natural selection those immune to such schemes have finally shown themselves.
TalOS quickly sent out an order for the Fleet to start up their systems and prepare for battle. At least if the enemy tries to take pot shots at the surveying ships they will not deal direct damage to the hull.
TalOS thought to himself upon the command throne. He could stay here with either a proper fight or ambush, however it would be guaranteed that the enemy will send troops onto the planet. Too many of the Magos were on the planet pacifying the populace to quickly and retreat would mean their deaths. Going up and fighting directly could prevent this, but it would mean a battle in open space without moons or a planet to obscure fire.
>Fight them in open space
>Stay here and try to ambush them
>Give them a proper battle.
