It’s been a while, and last you heard she’d been training on Yardrat again. When you have some free time, you teleport to Yardrat yourself to check up on her, finding her near Pybara once more, the aura of the Makaio-ken around her… yet she looks like she’s meditating.
“Most impressive, young Miss Keli.” the Yardratian praises. “And hello again, Son Peppa. It is good to see you.”
“Good to see you again too, sir.” you greet politely.
Keli exhales, the aura slowly fading. “Whew. Okay.” She stands up and smiles at you. “Hey Peppa. How ya been?”
“Been great, actually! Got this whole couples game I’m planning with Cocoa for some folks in our age range.” you reply with a grin. “Even managed to rent out Dream Land for it.”
She ruffles your hair. “That sounds nice.”
“What about you? Have you just been trying to practice with the Makaio-ken some more?” you inquire.
Keli crosses her arms confidently. “Oh it’s one thing I’ve managed, but there’s also something bigger.”
“Miss Keli has expressed interest in learning the most difficult of Spirit Control abilities.” Pybara begins, crossing his arms behind his back. “Forced Spirit Fission.”
“Still a little ways off, but I feel like I’m close to a breakthrough.” Keli confidently tells you. “But I have the basics down.”
You look at her with mouth agape. “Forced Spirit Fission?! Woah! I had no idea you got that far!”
She nods. “I’m not resting on my laurels. You and I may be Mifan Champs, but I still ended up out of the ring. Even if Tien says I’m a Crane School Master now, I feel like I’ve got quite a ways to go.”
