"But why so much money?"
"BECAUSE WE WERE DESPERATE AND WE'D ACCEPT IT? ONLY REASON WE HAVEN'T KILLED YOU IS BECAUSE OUR GUNS-" He fiddle with his gun. "HUH. IT WORKS NOW. WELL, DELTA FOXTROT SHOULD CLEAN UP THIS MESS AFTER. POOR, POOR BASTARD. FIGHTING AGAINST HIS OWN FAMILY."
"DESPERATE ENOUGH TO WORK WITH V-CORP FOR CLONES. OVERHEARD HIM BLABBERING ABOUT A "DEVIL'S BARGAIN" FOR "PLAYING AGAINST THEIR PAWN". WHATEVER THAT MEANT. WHATEVER. DIE."
[PERSON OF INTEREST] Huh. So V-Corp does have vested interest in protecting YOU for some reason. They're not directly involved.
So that's four corporate families, Delta Foxtrot, and the Spooks. You'll definitely ask Max about the others once you're out of this situation- RIGHT THEY'RE ABOUT TO SHOOT YOU.
"NOPE!" You immediately activate your TELKEINETIC ability again to send their guns flying out of their hands. They decide that the best thing to do is to immediately charge at the three of you with fury in their (lack of) eyes. You don't have enough time to make another attack.
Kiara steps in to buy the both of you some time. She's not much of a fighter but her android bulk is enough to slow the two Drones. She wraps her arms around them and tries to desperately keep them in place. She is easily overwhelmed, however, by the fake guards' unrelenting charge.
She is promptly knocked onto the ground but oddly, the Drones move to grab their guns. They don't think you have a way to fight back or to run in time.
Benjamin decides to teach them how foolish they really are. A plum of ash and smoke erupts out of his back. The whole hallway is now filled with a thick haze of ash that makes it pretty damn hard to breath.
Two smoldering wings made out of loose piles of ash hangs limply behind his back. The crackle of a warm campfire faintly echoes, nearly drowned by the hectic action.
Right as the guards rearm themselves while Kiara is desperately trying to get up, a violent torrent of smoldering ash is sent at the Drones.
While not having mouths or eyes, it's clear they still have to breath and smell somehow. Through the thick haze of smoke you can see small slits in their neck and arms being flooded with thick ash. Both of them are barely able to stand as the ash floods their system.
The edges of the slits all across their body are beginning to sear and burn. You can't imagine that's good for their health.
Their grips are weak so it doesn't take much effort to knock their guns out of their hand a second time. They try to brush away the ash but it sticks to them like a bad smell. They're suffocating, you know that for sure.
Benjamin tightens his fist and charges right at the distracted Drones. His punch has poor form and he probably hurt himself doing that more than the Drone but it was enough to knock one of the guards out cold.
Kiara gets back up and throws an equally wimpy punch but due to being, well, metal? A three inch dent is carved into the other Guards' face. Ouch.
