“I knew that fellow had a good head on his shoulders.” Spoke Adok as they left the audiance chambers. There was no one there, the room being cleared out by the Knights who were guarding the King.
“He is most generous, even more than I could ask for.” Lucian said as he looked at the helm.
One would normally expect people outside the chamber halls waiting for the man. After all there had been a sudden invasion of Skaven flooding the city with a demented fury of caught beasts. There would have been Knights and Commanders each trying to get an audience with the Duke while looking for a chance to make something of the situation.
The reason was obvious to Lucian, to make sure none of them saw his green eyes.
“The only thing that troubles me is that he’s not been using the sword I’ve given him.” The Dwarf murmured as he thought to himself, “Fellow has been using a Dwarf made blade for ceremony instead of fighting like it's supposed to. At least Sigmar used Gal’Maraz!”
“Issues for a time later than the now.” The Lizard walked up to Lucian while lucking his eyes every other second. The Knight had noticed that he held such a habit while they were in the throne room, only now it seems its coming back to haunt him, “You do not smell of Warpstone corruption, but the taint of magic is upon your flesh.”
“Pretty sure thats because of all the magic power the Gods have been pumping into him.” Adok pointed out with an earnest laugh, “Runes are known to affect their owners fiercely and Drengi has taken a liking to the Umgi.”
“The Warmblood should be sporting the red features of your slain god.” Pointed out the Lizardman as he quite literally crawled up Lucian to get a closer look at him.
Lucian could not describe his discomfort to the Lizard being on him. He was easily strong enough to hold the Lizard. It was another thing to be staring, looking at the clearly much larger eyes that was nearly the size of Lucian’s own fist.
“Do you, uh, see anything?” The man asked.
“Tee-Nee-Tyny does not. Smells more magic within Warmblood’s flesh without the taint of Chaos. He will examine, much more closely.” And with those words Lucian was released.
