As far as you're concerned, treasure was always your measure of wealth. A collection of shiny things kept in a pile to marvel at and show off. Wealth, but not value. Value to a troll of course is family, comfort, and being well-fed of course! If you gained or lost treasure it didn't bother you all that much really, since it didn't have much use besides appreciation.
The humans though, and many smaller races too, they value things like gold. Gaining it is something kill for and losing it something to die for. A very strange concept to you, but if you are to govern over them then you suppose you ought to try and understand it. It may never be that you place value in money but you do value the humans you rule over so for their sake, if increasing their money makes them happier and improves their lives, then you can try your best to see that they get the money they want!
Oough... lots of big thinking, starts to confuse you. Something to clear your head...
<span class="mu-r"><span class="mu-i">"...pah! What are you doing trolloc? Such absurdity..."</span></span>
<span class="mu-g">"Dance! Troll dance! A troll dance of lea-ving, to scare off all the bad times and mem-ories and leave only the good!"</span>
As a big smarty you recognize the importance of traditions and such, even if you don't personally practice them all that often. Once in awhile though you feel the occasion worthy enough to invite the old ways with ritual or ceremony. And this seems as good a time as any, a departure dance to properly mark the transition from your old life as a bridge troll, to your new life as a civilized troll... or at least a civil-living troll!
It probably would appear quite a silly dance to non-troll observers, although decided less silly since your elven physiology provides you with nimbleness and grace to perform most any task with impressive composure. Still, like most troll things it is a largely uncoordinated dance with lots of jumping, erratic movements or flailing, and semi-ritual chanting. All that needs to be done and said to drive off evil forces and keep everything good.
Of course it could hardly be judged as silly, if the one judging it gets dragged into the dance as well.
<span class="mu-r"><span class="mu-i">"-kaph'to! Release me trolloc, or by the Goddess I shall-"</span></span>
<span class="mu-g">"Come on Aran, dance! Strogga show you how! Jump more, swing your tail- oh, no tail... shake your head!"</span>
How disturbingly uncouth for the elf this must be, enough that he tries his hardest to fight against your efforts to dance with him. But given your size, strength and agility, what hope does he have really so long as you keep a grip of him?
