The area most people end up when the first get into the Zone is known as "The Cordon" which is named for the military cordon that guards it. You end up here after sneaking in after liquoring up the soldiers guarding the gate. Many "rookie" inexperienced Stalkers are located here as well as a Stalker camp where the legendary trader Sidorovich does business. A car park with a bandit camp is here as well and the area sports a small bandit population as well as the mutants that occupy everywhere in the zone...
