"We, the Jolota, have relied on the practice of ki for generations, and by the will of the Kais we will rely on it for many generations more." He finally finishes as you try to take in this bombshell of information. Ancient times?? The last time you checked, this Ki stuff was a 'brand new discovery' that could change the world. Not something that could be done with your BARE hands, or by an underdeveloped society such as this. There's more to these Jolota people than you thought at first glance.
"I can offer to teach you the basics of ki if you'd like, Kabra." He's offering YOU to learn how to do this stuff too?
"Say no more man, I'm IN." You respond almost immediately. Whatever it takes to learn how to do cool stuff like that, it HAS to be worth it. No doubts about it.
"Then its decided. Come meet me at the center of the village, by the Tower of Hogany in the evening." He points to a tall building further into the heart of the town, where the houses are closer together. "My own skill isn't as great as my superiors, but I'd be more than happy to offer my own teaching." He humbly states. "For now, you may stay in the village. I have to regroup with the evacuated and make sure everyone is safe and accounted for." He calls over a Jolotan to his side, and asks them to escort you to your new residence.
Your 'house' is on the small side, and that's being generous. In the wooden walls there's only a bed, a small table, and a red mat made of interwoven twine, the furniture too small for your liking.
"Sorry friend," Agnales apologizes, the Jolotan that personally showed you to your pretty shitty shelter. "We appreciate the help, but this is the only unoccupied building, and it's just a little too weird for you to be crashing in one of our own houses. I promise to bring you good food though!" She bolts off into the distance, you closing the door behind her.
You plop onto your bed, pretty bored. Kelper said to meet him by the Tower of Hogany in the evening, and there's still some time left to kill before the one sun starts setting.
How will you pass the time?
>You'll take a step outside to test your power, see if there's more to this than just looking like a piece of candy on legs >Just wait here patiently, as boring as it is. >Take a minute to think about everything that's happened so far>Something else? (Write in)
