>AI generated art>art that is culturally situated in society and human experience (sometimes the art itself is crap though)so everyone has seen the DALL-E 2 stuff it is indeed technically impressive. But as I mentioned about embodied cognition here
>>5338382Maybe this is me embracing l'autisme or thinking back to when I sponsored too many pretentious art literary journals lol. But you see the meaning of art comes from human experience (sometimes the art itself does not have to be good). You can create art that looks commercial and amazingly impressive but it still feels hollow because it is derived from shifting some billion temperature parameters in some transformer caption image model. (where did those captions come from, by the way - have a look into that, or companies like Appen ASX AU etc, I had a long conversation with them once. So you are saying... your art and imagination comes from text captions?)
https://appen.com/investors/In the cyberpunk William Gibson Jackpot novels the characters do not get it. Society appears - appears - to be advancing, they have all this technology, why does the Jackpot happen? Why do we not get the amazing human transcendent technosingularity apotheosis world? The PR news stunts like that googl engineer lol convince me more and more that AI is not the answer.
