The Omnissiah once again traveled the golden halls of the Imperial Palace. They were heavily modified from times before thanks to the hard focus mind of Rogal Dorn. Stairways were given hard walls to form places of cover while numerous places found themselves reinforced with rockcrete. So much rockcrete was within the Imperial Palace now that fifty eight point three percent of it was now covered with fortifications.
The one thing that the Omnissiah noted to be the greatest change of them all, was that there were no longer thousands of pieces worth of artwork. Hidden away in the deepest parts of the palace for when the times are brighter.
The Omnissiah walked towards a part of tarnished gold doors as a man would. He knew to keep things like his own divinity hidden from the general population lest it started a war immediately with the occupant of this room. He was discrete as could be so that only the rumors of the Omnissiah were spilled out of the mouths of his Cultists. Those, he knew, were easy for the Terrans to deny.
And as he opened he looked to see the one who made the Terrans say as they said sitting upon a chair, “Welcome, TalOS.”
“Malcador.” The Omnissiah gave a courteous bow to the man before entering. Malcador the Sigillite was now reflectant of his several millennium old age. Those winkles were but canyons upon his face and his hair was so gray that it was coming close to white.
Such a state was expected for Malcador was no longer able to devote focus of his mind to bodily restoration. Even as the Omnissiah approached and took a seat at the same locaiton the pair of them conversed so long ago Malcador was giving psychic orders to his people. As the Omnissiah sat, counter to what he should have been doing, Malcador was forced to focus upon the existence that was the Omnissiah.
“What have you become, TalOS?” He asked simply, “To become…”
He was at an honest loss of words. How else would one be when the avatar of the Machine God appears within the room with you.
