Just as many times before TalOS had welcomed his brother at the steps of his Manufactorium. The man was given all the cries of honor and the respect of the people who were now realizing that their sightings of the divine was slowly coming to an end. He allowed them to cheer him on, raising his hands into the sky to entertain the people further.
It was after this that the two of them traveled the Mechanicum. As standard TalOS did not bring any conversation and his brother was in awe at the magnificence that was the Mechanicum.
But that awe only went so far. Beyond anything else TalOS noticed that with every step his brother took was an undercurrent of disgust radiating from his soul.
Disgust was an emotion TalOS felt among his brothers. Many of them looked upon Servitors in that manner if they were not given a taste of mortal dread. But to Lorgar the mixture of amazement and disgust was something that TalOS only saw in him. Its profoundness made TalOS sick as well as he ate what might as well have been rotten flesh.
When TalOS and Lorgar both sat upon the table within the workshop of TalOS’s parents the Fabricator General began to feel regret. He will need to be cautious.
“I thank you brother for welcoming me to your Forge World!” Declared Lorgar as he gave a mighty cheer of compassion and emotion, “This Forge Spire is a testament to the power of mankind and the faith they can wield!”
TalOS could not help but feel such words were odd choice for an Imperial, “It was the place Lucius the Elder touched down upon our planet with the rest of his expeditionary fleet. It is the oldest Forge Complexe upon Lucius. I speak for Lucius when I say it is an honor to be seen as such.”
“May I ask a few questions on what I saw on my way over?” Lorgar pushed towards TalOS with hints of curiosity and wonder.
“I shall do so within the best of my ability.” TalOS told his brother with a genuine smile.
“Why does the Mechanicum always enjoy skulls upon its architecture?” He put first and foremost above all other questions.
“The Skull is where knowledge is housed. It protects the brain from the elements and is one of the last items to be discarded when commiting augmentation.” TalOS said as he tapped his own skull, “It is, beyond all matters, the most human of all bones within the body. So it is the symbol for Mankind.”
