Blasting pods and zapgrass, great fields of burnseed to be turned into b-oil, artificial wetlands to grow Evil Rice and great mennish mangroves to harvest for mangrove mango man toes.
All sorts of the most obscure and delicate crops are planted in an effort to race Vitruvia towards full agricultural self sufficiency, evidently this is the most important goal as of late and so it is pursued with extreme rigour.
Action 2: Deepwell Archive
The Nachetar refugees are taken in to The Well where they are free to live in peace beneath the ground. Built down in the discontinued sections of that quarry are countless layers upon layers upon layers of residences, anchored from wall to wall, enough for the current nachetar population and then many many more to inhabit, sustained indefinitely by the Prime Species that spawned them in the first place.
The residents may view this as an exceptional kindness, but what Vitruvia extracts from them is knowledge. Stories and cultures from other worlds that add to the hodgepodge that is the Vitruvian cultural tapestry, teachings and discoveries and theories in mathematics, sciences, fields of thought and literature. Skilled workers in complex trades, magicians and sorcerers who, lacking magic, maintain their knowledge, the occasional alchemist or runesmith who may actually be quite helpful, there is practically no end to those who know something or other, especially as the population of this colony grows.
The Deepwell Archive refers to the sum total of all the extracted knowledge from these refugees from unreality, a library-sanctum that can allow these war-weary nachetar to live in peace and allow their vast knowledge to aid Vitruvias educational establishments.
