The general plan was, and still is that I will ask you guys what you would be interested in seeing the most in one of my threads as we near the end.
In general, I want to be Very Original(TM) and exploring New Grounds(TM), and so, it's probably - almost definitely, conclusively - going to be another Femboy quest~
The question is the theme, really. Currently I'm partial to:
> A) A short grimdark fantasy comedy: In a world burned to cinder by the century-spanning war between the gods throwing human lives like chess pieces, a village boy is concealed as a girl to avoid the draft and inevitable gruesome death... gets drafted anyways, but by miraculous bitchy fairy claiming he's the hero prophecy was talking about, or something. Manipulated, this weak, quite pathetic boy will have to succeed where his stronger, emotionally stunted brethern failed, and untire the lands and petty gods in the only way he can... through basic empathy and communication skills in lands devoid of, but starving for, love~ > Bottom emoji until peace is archived! The world is bleak, but you will make it bright.> B) Serious one, A political drama in victorian-esque fantasy city: A poor, proletarian (mouse)boi through lucky circumstances get hired as a servant(read: a maid/doll) to the petulant children of the monarch. Has to provide for his numerous family staunchly alligned with the revolutionary cause aiming to dethrone the monarchy and grant civil rights to Non-human people. The goal is to see the events in the city to the end (Maybe even influence them) without having your head chopped off, or family starving away... but also not being seen as a collaborator.> Think: Papers please, but with smol, helpless mousy, Double-agent boimaids struggling in hostile (too big!) world.> C) Abandon all hope, ye who enter here: short Femboy Yandere psycho romance: A boi Really Loves his childhood friend, a rich Heir/Heiress, and it's his time to make his feelings known... And they love him back already! Right? Right?! Its time make them realize their feelings are mutual with abduction~ cuddles~ Torture~ boiwifes~ murder of bigoted family members and pesky police~ Crime~ gaslighting~ Hidden cults and magic! Yupieee~! > Think: De Sade...>>5768997Not the op, but I can see the appeal of doing so: it's a challenge. Allow your players all the freedom they need and then overcome the mountain they present you.
I actually sympathize with doing so a lot. QMing is far more engaging in figuring out how to connect everything in such a way as for the whole to maintain a logical coherence. Allowing only safe options limits growth, and there is also that exciting tinge of worry when a difficult option is close to be chosen!
