For many, many ticks, the virtual landscape has been a flat plain. It's had some space carved out by the trees, but there's been very little in terms of terrain diversity. All that changes with patch 1.01

>Added terrain generation noise >Holes will generate in the world, up to 1 block deep.
How exactly the creatures will interact with these holes is up to evolution, including means of escaping, how this new gravity affects them, and even the possibility of creating their own.
