>Communicate to the subject from outside her chamber. Maybe you could first ask her some questions before choosing to interact with her.
Before entering this subject's chamber, you decided to first get some information about the subject at hand and the scientist she was supposedly with. After asking such, the subject thankfully did not hesitate to respond. "My own name is Cortina Galactica. My codename is MS-30. The scientist who is with me is Massimo Ilrosso." Looking over at Joaquin and his men, you would see Sophie speak up in a more calm tone. "Cortina. I've heard of her before. She was indeed a subject from Jabal. Some kind of fungal subject." Cortina let out a calm giggle. "I am indeed created with fungi in mind. I hope my spores have not concerned you or made you fear me. They help me create such perfect darkness " Your men weren't exactly sure how to feel about the fact that she had such spore based abilities. Then again, given how Thalia could use her voice to calm people, it now made a whole lot of sense that the calmness were an effect of Cortina's spores.
>Something else...
Given her honesty, the fact that one of Joaquin's men knew of her and the fact that you hadn't noticed any negative effects yet, you decided to take the risk. You told your men to be prepared, even getting a flash grenade ready in case of the worst. You'd say that you had someone who could help out her scientist friend, as well as some water and food for them. "Excellent. Please, do come over." You told your men to wait, as you turned to Cirra and asked her to come along. Cirra calmly nodded, not seeming too worried about what was going to happen. "We'll keep you covered, Mik. If you think she is an actual threat, let us know ASAP." Anon said, Thaddeus also getting the railgun ready. "We'll blow her to kingdom come if she dares to attack ya!" Given the darkness, the plasma railgun was maybe a little impractical. Still, you had hope that this would all just go alright.
Regardless, Lars handed you a bottle of water and a packet of rations. And with Cirra close-by, you'd head over to the opening to the chamber, the light trail thankfully making it easy enough to enter. Until at long last, you'd see the strange spectral figure who you communicated with before. Albeit now physical, in finer detail and... way bigger. Whilst she wasn't as tall as Anofelis, she was absolutely above 8 feet at the very least. Lying right beside her was a scientist who looked extremely thin and pale. He looked at you with a tired and exhausted expression, Cirra immediately heading over. Obviously, you were still reluctant, as the subject didn't appear eerily frozen in place, looking at you with a gentle smile. "I can understand you are concerned by my appearance. Please, if I can do anything to make you less worried about my abilities, form or appearance, please let me know." She did sound rather kind and honest, soon putting the hands of her many arms together.
