He looks to the map, "The team turned back after reaching Nellis Air Force base. Where in they were warded off by locals warning them of a bunch of madmen utilizing local artillery to blow anyone who got to close up. They are colloquially known as the 'Boomers'." he just shakes his head at the name, "Nothing more is really known as none of the team wanted to make the trek to see what was going on. Long range reconnosience of the sight from a near by hill did seem to show the 'Boomers' wearing Vault-tec Jumpsuits, and according to our records they may have come from Vault 34 if this is the case given it's proximity."
He flips a page, "Locals say the 'Boomers' have been up at Nellis Air Force Base since '31, which would imply that the vault was opened, the purpose of this is unknown, however it puts into doubt the viability of its population as pure humans."
He continues, "The team did attempt a pass by Vault 3 however the place is inundated with Raiders, very well armed raiders at that. Further attempts were aborted after one member nearly died."
He flips a page again, "Regardless, there seems to be a general smattering of settlements around the Mojave area with a higher density of them approaching Las Vegas itself. That's the end of their initial report, more detailed numbers and records pending their return at the end of this month, start of December."
