>>5492080“I seek greater strength to protect what's most important to me. No matter what forces seek their destruction.” you tell him, the elder raising a brow as you continue. “The universe is a cruel place, and will take everything from you if you're not strong enough to protect what's yours. I need the strength to protect my family, to shield them from the worst out there and the forces that seek my, my family, and my entire race's extinction. I will do whatever it takes, fight through whatever odds it takes to do so. No matter what, as long as I live, my people will be safe.”
“I see....” Pybara says, thinking over your answer for another minute of silence before nodding once to himself. “Very well. I shall accept you as a student, Karn of New Salda. I shall teach you the ways of Spirit Control.”
He then simply vanishes, you tracking his ki as he teleports behind you. Turning, Freeza following your gaze, you see that there isn't only one Elder, but now a dozen Pybara all standing together for several seconds before they merge back into one.
“Instant Transmission, making copies. Or as you call the technique, Multiform.” Elder Pybara says, holding up his hands. “And, of course, more advanced abilities like our Healing and Gigantification.”
As the elder says Gigantification, his body rapidly shrinks down to the size of your four year old daughter Okira. Shocking both you and Freeza. However, the emperor seems more surprised by what he said than his sudden height deficiency.
“Hold on. You said healing, right?” Freeza asks, his tone suddenly very interested.
“That is correct.” Elder Pybara says, then gestures to the emperor. “Are you currently injured, and in need of assistance?”
To which Freeza draws a small ki blade around one finger, and slashes himself across the chest. Shocking both you, the Elder, and the other up-to-now silent Yardratians acting as guards in the room gasp in surprise as well.
“Does this count?” Freeza asks, the elder nodding and leveling his hand up towards Freeza. Who braces himself, but then looks down at his chest in confusion. The wound has not only sealed itself, but there's no evidence he'd ever cut himself. He looks himself over, then returns his gaze to the Yardratian elder. “Teach me as well.”
“Oh? You seek not power, but the ability to heal others?” Elder Pybara asks, again stroking his whisker. “And why is that?”
“I made a mistake.”
