Your quickly made party continues to walk.
"Master," Cattleya sniffs the air. "I smell goblins. A bunch of them."
This puts you all on high alert. You all first go towards the base the clankers patrolled to and from, since it wasn't too far off. With that proven safe, you follow whatever it was that you saw.
What happened next was a stroke of luck helped by Mel's care for details and your precautions. Mel had the idea of concealing everyone with one of her illusions and avoid potential goblin patrols, and you decided to lead yourself and your wives to the top of a hill. After climbing it you're all able to see small scatterings of goblin camps on the pastures.
"Are they planning to invade us?" Cattleya says under her breath.
"Such strange creatures, positioning their camps so far apart. Enough to sacrifice a few to flee if their opponent is strong, but too spread out for helping each other in a timely way." Ruby Rose observes. "Perhaps they're slowly surrounding the base in the woods."
"They have guns and cannons." Mel says. You all look at her, but she doesn't elaborate, placing her attention towards the goblin encampments.
"It's obvious they're trying to retaliate." You decide to add after a few beats.
"It's the sort of cheap cleverness one would expect from these vile creatures." Rose said.
Cattleya looks like she's ready to attack on your command.
The clankers must've been doing too good of a job in keeping the path cleared. Looks like your preparations caused a reaction.
>This was perfect. You could go and start the invasion now while many of them were away from their base. (Starts plan to invade the goblin village)
>Clean out the smaller goblin camps before they get worse. (Invade the goblin village after this? Y/N)
>Did you really have to do anything? They can't attack your land without getting mowed down by your clankers. (Begin next week's actions)
