"Fits the bill. Large enough to hold over a hundred people here with plenty of elbow room, and the town layout makes it a potential death trap for easy containment for an event like the hunger riot." replied Solomon.
Yan gave a cursory sniff. "You smell that?"
Solomon knelt down and wiped a finger from the side of a bony wall as they trodded around the perimeter of the square. "Yeah. The smell of burnt flesh. Faint but still there despite the booze and sex. There were also soot marks on the edges of the square."
"Must've been one hell of a barbeque, even though I've never been to one." quipped Yan.
"I don't think this sort of barbeque's popular around these parts given that no one bothered to eat the 85 surplus of Flame-broiled 'long-pork'." Solomon shot back as he rounded a corner of the square.
Turning the corner, Solomon's runic arm became a glow and pulsed, prompting a pillar of black and gold to rise from the fleshy ground. This completed for the other four corners while Yan pulled out what appeared to be a large roll of parchment and proceeded to cordon the perimeter with using the pillars as cordon posts. The face of the parchment lined with inked tattoos of runic patterns.
"What are you two doing?" asked Jun as the two enforcers completed their preparations.
"Staking out the crime scene-" answered Solomon.
"-and recreating a diorama of the incident." replied Yan. "If you're squeamish, then I would advise Viewer discretion."
The preparations complete, Yan and Solomon walked towards the center of the cordoned square. Runes began to flare across the pillars and cordon parchment tape at the Enforcer's will.
"In the name of the Imperial Arbiter...Tell us of the crime that has here."

With a burst of light, the ground shuddered as black mannequins pulled themselves out of the ground akin to a zombie apocalypse with cracking blackened bone and golden highlights...and one by one, the dolls obediently shuffled into place, blank actors assuming their roles to a staged play in the past, frozen in poses and awaiting for the director's cue.
