With the bandits dealt with, you leave Herta at the mansion to fix up the machine shop. You want to see just how true those bandits were speaking, when they called this place their turf... as well as take stock of the fields.
It quickly becomes apparent that this estate is not a nest of Bandits. They must have come here to claim it for their gang, rather than having already owned the place. The fields lie fallow and empty of anything but weeds, and the equipment had not been touched in what looks like a decade at the very least.
A stone wall surrounds the estate as a whole. It stands about as high as a fence would, enough to separate lands without being a true fortification. In some places, it crumbles in need of repairs.
As for salvageable plants... an orchard of lemon trees sits on one side, having drowned out weeds and grass as they trees grew tall and strong. Some wild grains dominate the other fields, and you van make out a number of gourds growing amongst the green, haphazard and disorganized. It seems that you'll have some seed plants, at the very least.
The glass garden needs several panels replaced, but a number of herbs still thrive within. The more exotic plants are long dead, though.
What looks to have been a cheese cave at one point sits near a cresting hill. Though now it seems like goblins have infested it, as you can see a beady eyed greenskin dragging his club in a patrol of the entrance.
He does not see you, for now, but having pests like that around is not good. Especially if you want to have a harem, if they're anything like most goblins you've read about.
>Take them on now with your razor wire.
>Come back once you've built a mech.
>Retreat home and ask Herta about them.
