My words made the lawkeeper pause in his tracks, him lowering his hand. I kept my ready stance in case he intended to fight regardless. I could not well predict the next move of one who has concealed their mind with Eskart's works.

With that, the Collegium Guardian turned around and left down the hall, vanishing behind the corner. It seemed his heart yearned for his god.
'Come Wolfboy, let us make haste.' I tell him, pulling him along by his hand as we phased through the door to the office of this Shaman.
Once inside, I came upon the sight of a large office, with books on shelves reaching to the ceiling. The candles around floated on their own, and their lights spread green shine. It was an alchemical laboratory. The Shaman must have excelled in this area in particular. It appeared the Shamans made their offices into their area of expertise.
[WOLFBOY] "Ominous..."
'Stay close.'
We walked to the middle of the room, looking for any sign of the Shaman who'd be clouding his wavelengths through an accursed gold mask. I looked left and right. Then, I looked into the shadow of this dim room, and I saw him hunched over against the wall. This room had no windows, it was clouded in darkness save for the candle light.
The Shaman named Goessioto turned and peered over through his golden mask.
[GOESSIOTO] "AH!"
[WOLFBOY] "AH!"
[GOESSIOTO] "AAAH!"
[WOLFBOY] "AAAAH!"
The Shaman before me was clearly ancient... and it showed in him falling down off of a stool, scrambling to grab some mitts or something he had with him that fell off. Once staggered back to his feet, he walked out to address us in specific.
[GOESSIOTO] "I TOLD THOSE MEDDLING BAILIFFS, NO VISITORS! Can't you see I am busied?! My work is all-consuming! I have little precious time for any DRUDGERY!"
'Even if it is with a goddess?'
[GOESSIOTO] "Dah! You deities are all the same. No respect for conduct or personal space. So what if you're divine? Do you really think that's a bargaining chip to disturb someone like me with? Yes I know you are a god, I heard you outside the door. I recognize the Animal Demigod you have with you, the frightening little thing..."
[WOLFBOY] "Hey! I'm not scary!"
