>>5832893“Commander Blair Weaver, I presume?” A serious-looking sentry from the Church addresses you. “Seneschal Seteth said we should be expecting you. We’ve just arrived yesterday. The Seneschal and the Sword of Seiros will wish to see you in the command tent. Please, follow me.”
Leaving Ava in charge while you are gone, you follow the sentry through the camp. You can sense the excitement all around you as soldiers run around, preparing for the battle ahead. It’s nothing like what you encountered back in Dimitri’s camp. The chatter in the air seems to suggest that everyone’s confidence level is high. Hardly any of them expected to even make the march south after the events of Mercius. But now that they stood outside the gates of Enbarr, they could finally see that the end of the war was within reach. The sentry leads you to a large tent in the middle of the camp and opens the flap for you. There, you find both Seteth, Ferdinand, and Professor Byleth pouring over a detailed map of the city. In addition, there’s another familiar face you hadn’t seen in quite some time.
“By the Goddess, don’t tell me that’s really you, Blair!” A tall and intimidating swordswoman exclaims upon seeing you. Thunderbrand Cassandra, otherwise known as Catherine. The legendary knight herself leaps over the table to tussle your hair. “Where’ve you been hiding all this time, girl?! Did you get taller?!”
>“Ahh, Lady Catherine!” You wince, massaging your bruised head. Clearly, she didn’t know her own strength. “It’s good to see you as well.”“Don’t play so coy with me, girl.” Catherine laughs, patting you on your back. “I hear you’ve gotten quite strong! Think you can take me on?”
“Catherine, control yourself.” Seteth says, sighing. “Welcome back, Blair. Were you able to take care of what we asked?”
>You nod. “Both the Ostia and Sutri Bridge have been destroyed, sir. Reinforcements from Rusalka and Boramus have been cut off.”“And your losses?” Seteth asks, wincing.
>“Zero.”The Seneschal breathes a sigh of relief. A sentiment that is echoed by the Professor. “That’s excellent news, Blair. With Enbarr cut off from potential reinforcements, the Empire has lost a crucial advantage. Tomorrow will now come down to a straight fight between our forces and their own.”
>“Tomorrow?!” You exclaim. “We’ll be attacking so soon?”“We have to press our advantage.” The Professor says, never looking up from her map. “Now that you’re here, we can go over the part we wish you to play.”
“Indeed.” Seteth says. “As you’re no doubt already aware, Enbarr has a considerable air force waiting for us. Chief amongst them are the division known as the Hellwings…I understand you had a chance to get to know each other back at Gronder Field.”
