For the second time this fight, he streaks downwards to strike his gigantic opponent. Dark energy coalesces in his leg as he falls towards the top of Deltamon's head. The colossus is currently snapping at two Mekanorimon that have gotten close. One is trying to use Gyro Break, while the other is prying Deltamon's skull-arm open. His servos fail, and you watch the robot's arms get chewed off by the gnashing teeth of the monster. Before it can be finished off, Astamon collides with the primary head, creating a shockwave that dents the concrete beneath the titan.
Deltamon roars in agony, collapsing down on one knee. It plants both heads into the ground to try and stabilize itself, but the arms move like they have a mind of their own, each rearing upwards to snap at the source of the injury. This leaves it without any way to find its balance balance, and the entire Digimon ends up splayed across the street. Greymon and Cyclomon stop to watch in fright. Their leader has been grounded with one hit from an Ultimate-level combatant.
Astamon says something that you can't make out, then plants his gun against the blue scales of the creature's triangular head. He lets out a full-auto salvo, attempting to tear through its durable hide and rip the head apart.
The beast goes ballistic, writhing about and forcing its body back upright. The two heads are smashed into the ground and used to support its bulky arms, while the tails whip and stab furiously, piercing friend and foe alike. The reptilian Digimon all back away from their leader, watching as it fights. In its attempt to get Astamon off its middle head, it slams its cybernetic right arm against its own skull. The long jaws lash out, and you watch as your partner vanishes between its teeth. When it pries the arm away, he's gone.
You don't feel any distress radiating through the Digivice. When you zoom in to get a better look, you see the monster trying desperately to close its mouth. Astamon is forcing the jaws open with brute strength, but he's struggling to slip out.
The Mekanorimon from earlier launches a red laser at the distracted Deltamon, throwing its movements out of sync with Twinkle Laser. The move is particularly effective against a creature with three heads. It spits out your partner and goes even crazier than before, flailing and swinging its limbs erratically. It even bites down on an allied Greymon and starts ripping its arm apart savagely. The indignant dinosaur's eyes go wide, and it headbutts Deltamon in rebellion.
