Lucian decided it was not wise to fight these people. Their helpful hands were something that he needed at the moment when the pain was becoming this abundant. It was a trial in will just for the Nobleman to stay on his feet when the two took him through the woods.
The heavily obfuscated barrier that covered the forest from the outside was gone, now allowing Lucian to see the many trees and barren forest floors for what they were. The canopy of trees were thick and barely a lick of light broke through them, but the natives that were helping Lucian knew their way well enough.
Thankfulness must be given to the gods themselves for there was no trouble on the way over. No Beastmen coming to raid their small group or that massive creature coming for vengeance against who wounded it.
Further and further they went Lucian noticed smiles growing upon the faces of the people who he saved. While he was a seasoned traveler, someone who was used to something like this, he suspected that the terror of what just happened reminded them of how safe their homes truly were.
When they pierced another barrier of trees the village was revealed to Lucian. The size of the place is roughly the same as Verac, though it overlooked open plains instead of being nestled in the forest.
“We made it!” Shouted the woman as she rushed forward towards the village. A group of people already forming as if the hue was raised already and a cry was made.
Lucian found himself taken into the village quickly after that with his person being given to several for treatment. His wounds were washed out with the spirits that these people made before they were covered with cloths.
It took roughly two hours of this before Lucian was left to rest on a stack of hay. A few minutes after he was left there a group of people came into the room, one of them being someone who Lucian would quickly call the village Elder. Behind him, those that Lucian guessed were the family of those that he had saved.
