>>5428348>>5428351>>5428354Seeing as you are closer to your plant morph mother than you ever were before, you attempt to pinpoint her exact location in this endless blue of marine activity.
Closing your eyes and attempting to feel the Od energy that aligns the most with you, you form a beeline towards a place with no sound, no visions.
Darkness. Only pure black, as if something was covering her eyes.
She is indeed in a comatose state, though you should be able to know something other than what you were already aware.
From early morning until noon, you search high and low for anything that resembled a plant laying at the bottom of the sea, soaring through all sorts of fishes and mammals amidst the near infinite salt of the world, you were no closer to finding Skellig, an archipelago, or any piece of land that resembled a living space for a tree to grow in the sand.
Yet your instincts do not lie to you, there is a great concentration of her scent amidst an outline of a rock formation located to zero points of reference. It was in the general direction of where the ships were heading, though judging by the speed of the boat compared to your soul flight, it would take several more days to reach that strange, confusing piece of a cliffy island.
Going further into the astral layers of the world, you manage to see where her hiding spot actually looks like. A solitary island with several other humans worshipping a creature of incomprehensible form inside a gigantic fissure splitting the island on the inside.
The concentration of dark energy is not what forbids you from seeing the creature, but rather, it's size. What are you possibly looking at? It's tendrils? It's mouth? Teeth? Finger? Your soul swirls around and around the island, yet fails to find the beginning or the end, of the inhuman fauna that lays inside this monster biome.
Given how some of them were looking your way when you approached them, perhaps tracing your steps back to Sivir's location was a better idea.
There she lays. A beautiful adult woman buried beneath a mountain of sand. Her torso seems very much human, yet the way her lower half diverges into algae, as well as her hair makes it so all that is shown is a few centimeters of green moss amidst the coral.
"Sivir!? Sivir!" You call for her name, unsure as to call her mother due to her estranged relations, yet she did not respond. Not even a twitch of her fingers cradling the cracked pearl the size of her torso.
The fusion of her Od with yours seems to be what's keeping her alive in a parasitic state, seeping into the rest of her roots and into the Sea monster's crater.
"The ward seems to be disappearing."
"Is she not answering to our songs?"
"Let us try once more."
You are hypnotized by the odd shanties of the astral creatures of the sea, chanting melodically as another hybrid of man and fish approached your mother's presence.
...Merrows?
