“Best of rest Lady-Captain.”
With Rasia gone, your comms officer once more informs you. “Sir, the merchants and the waterworld both wish to contact you.”
“Put them through.”
“Mister officer.” The chirpy voice of Aliosha, the woman from the waterworld, greets you. “I’ve spread rumours as you asked, it was a wee bit difficult, you kinda smashed a hornet’s nest, the pirates are on high alert, so I had to give info about a system further away. Here’s no hoping that they’ll fall for your bait, best of.” Before even finishing her sentence, she cuts out, seemingly unwilling, or simply uninterested, in hearing your reply.
“My lord.” Speaks up the merchant, having quietly waited for his turn. “I would like to once more express my thanks. My wife and I are planning on returning to our home. But we were conversing whilst awaiting you. So, though this may not mean much, we’re going to see if we can’t rally some men back home. A few ships are probably all we can offer, but we’d like to join in your efforts to rid us of this scourge. Just tell us where to meet you.”
“Thank you. I will consider your offer.”
With peace returning to the bridge, you can reorganize your thoughts.
First of all, your movement plan:
>Keep to the original plan.>”I’d like to change something.” (Write in)Then the merchants:
>”Any help is appreciated.” (Mark down where they will meet you.)>”They will probably be more of a liability than any actual help.”Finally, Datz is without command:
>”And that is fine as is. Let her stew for a while, she shouldn’t have moved without orders, and this would be a perfect punishment for her previous mistake.”>”Assign her command.” (Of what ?)
