>>5347648Not having really much else to say on that matter, the room descends into relative silence. From behind the door, you can hear the ongoing chatter between Boleski and the Healer.
<span class="mu-i">“--mutant too?”</span> The Healer’s voice is inquiring.
<span class="mu-i">“Tak,”</span> Is Boleski’s response.
<span class="mu-i">“Your condition still can't be–”</span>
You’re not sure what they’re talking about, but, as inclined as you are to keep listening, you decide to shut out whatever else might be said because, far as you know, it’s just regular doctor-patient chit-chat that you don’t really have much business poking your nose into.
You don’t know how much time has passed, but, by the time Boleski walks out, you’ve made many, tiny indents in the counter with your claws from drumming your fingers against the counter so much.
His torso looks considerably less marred than before, most of the burn marks cleared from his person. You can’t imagine how awful that must be to deal with that all the time since his normal skin can’t actually handle the acid.
“Next!” The Healer calls to the room.
