>NEW JOB: TRACK DOWN BENJAMIN AARON.
"Now, here's what I pieced together from Z-Corp's constant seething about this bastard. I want you to listen in real close." There's papers rustling in the background. "First off, he lives at an apartment block in District 14."
[SEEKER OF THE CITY] There are 26 districts to this City, from A-Z, or 1-26. You currently live in District 7, a neighbor to 14. And a few others that aren't relevant right now.
"You would think that would be it, huh? Well, if it was as simple as that, I wouldn't be bothering to talk to you. His landlord hasn't seen him in days." The Handler shuffles through more papers. "We'll send you the location anyways."
"Secondly, we have a physical description of him. Early 20s, bird nest's haircut, short, wears glasses, pale like a baby's ass." The Handler pauses for a moment. A half chuckle gurgles out of him. "Apparently wears leather gloves. Like a fucking dork."
"Third, and certainly least, we have the names of two of his associates. Roland Moreau and Weston Halford. No clue where they're at but if you can find them somehow? Maybe they'll squeal like the pigs they are."
[UNSTABLE] "ASSOCIATES"? WHAT A JOKE. THESE PARASITES WORK AS A COORDIANATED HORDE, THERE ARE NO GOOD ONES. EVEN THE 'NICE ONES' WILL DROP YOU LIKE YOU'RE SHIT FROM THEIR ASS.
"Got that?" You're interrupted before you can answer. "Good. fuckinhearONEMOREcallfromZCORP." You can barely make out his muttering. Your eardrum nearly bursts when he starts speaking again. "SO FIND THAT FAGGOT ASAP AND GIVE HIM TO Z-CORP. PRONTO. REMEMBER. YUMMY YUMMY PILL MAN." The connection cuts off.
Well then. You look over at your two allies. "So? What's the mission, boss?" Lex taps his foot against the floor with a steady rhythm. You can tell he's getting bored.
"W-well! We have to track someone down. Company wants him, we find him, we get our payment. Five hundred smackaroos." You look over at Alexis. 25% cut, that's $125. So you will pocket $375.
[UNSTABLE] IF WE KILL HER BEFORE THE JOB IS FINISHED, IT'S ALL OURS. BETTER TO STAB THAT BITCH FIRST.
Alexis stews on what her cut's going to be. She slowly nods her head up and down. "Okay. That's good enough for me. A missing person's case?"
"Well, I guess so? I only got a place he lived at and some names."
"Alright. I'll see what I can get. Be right back, alright?" The well dressed woman starts heading for the exit. You have no purpose staying in the bar either, so you two follow after her through the exit.
"So. What now?" Lex turns his head to you.
"I-I guess we'll w-wait for her to r-return."
"Aight. I don't have a better idea." Lex shrugs. He leans his back against the graffiti coated wall of NICOLAS'. You do the same, wrapping your arms around yourself to stay warm.
It's still early in the morning. The sun peeks out above the horizon, shining a faint yellow hue across the streets. A cloud of people, robots, and faceless Drones pass by the bar in a blur.
