>>5484787>>5484788>>5484789>>5484793>>5484798I actually thought that was a complete failure, but re-checked the DC and you just snuck in two successes. Phew.
But now comes the hard part.
>2 SUCCESS: Local Assets. In addition to fully briefing you, Sir de Ferros also offers his own opinion on the veracity of the intel on each point. The Reginate has at least a few assets that can be relied on whilst in the foreign city, but it will be an uphill battle calling upon them for anything not strongly linked to Reginate interests. Gain +10DC, +1 Re-Roll to following Counter-Intrigue.================================

The loyalty of a Reginate contact/asset is suspect. Whether you are advised of this will depend on the result of the above persuade roll.
0 = Loose Ends. The means of contact puts you in a somewhat precarious position. Sir de Ferros could, if he wanted to, expose you to hostile parties with very little risk to himself. Worse still, at this stage you are not even aware the risk.
1 = Burn After Reading. While the current method of contact is not ideal, you are at least aware of the risk involved and are free to develop a method that makes you less dependant on Sir de Ferros’ goodwill to maintain your cover once you familiarise yourself with the clandestine procedures.
2 = Plausible Deniability. The intermediaries are the disposable link in the contact chain, rather than any of the recipients. Neither you or Sir de Ferros are at direct risk from the other, at least not without also exposing themselves as an agent. If one betrays the other, it will certainly be known. Whether both of you are happy with this will depend on the above persuade result.
3 = Failsafe. You have a plan in place even if the worst should happen and you are exposed whilst in hostile territory. It is messy, it is dangerous and it will evolve over the course of your time there. But it’s that or the inside of a Crescent Palace dungeon.
Double Pass = Convert. One of the Reginate contact/assets becomes a true believer, and shifts their loyalty to you specifically. Vancewell bonus.
NEW ROLLERS PLEASE. 3 rolls of 1d100. You have THREE re-rolls. There is ONE adverse re-roll.
