>>5872929The two of you launch into your attacks, the force of your blows knocking each other's weapons back. Immediately you both keep up the attack, twisting your blades overhead to crash together once more. Over and over your weapons clash, blade striking blade hundreds of times in only a second as your weapons paint glowing trails through the air. The blur of the blades, the hum of the weapons blend together in a cacophony of battle. The weapons move so fast you don't even have time to think, reacting purely on muscle memory, training and instinct. Yet, as the battle continues, her power seemingly only grows. Her strength and her anger both continue to rise as she continues her assault, strikes landing harder and faster the more she swings her weapon. Almost as if she's taking the energy you're using fighting her, and adding it to her own somehow. Then, with another double overhead swing your blades smash together, seemingly locking together in place and putting you in a contest of power. One that you should be able to easily win.
But you can't, Chaya evenly matching your Berserker strength with her own power. And, to your surprise, even begins pushing back, overpowering you. She pushes you back, nearly bringing your own weapon back against your body before you pull back, disengaging and trying to get clear. But, as you jump back, Chaya lunges. Just as you'd practiced with her hundreds of thousands of times under the guiding eye of Darh Bane, thrusting her blade under your guard at your chest. Reacting purely on instinct you twist without thinking, narrowly avoiding getting impaled. Instead her blade burns across your right pectoral and your right tricep, the sudden, burning agony causing you to lose focus and cry out.
“GYAAAH!” you call, raising your left up to your chest as you drop the weapon in your right, it deactivating as it leaves your hand. And, for a single moment your daughter looks like she's going to go back in, to go for the kill when suddenly that dark cloud around her vanishes, Chaya blinking then her eyes widen in shock.
“Oh no Daddy!” she calls, deactivating her weapon and rushing over to you. “I'm so sorry, I-I got so focused on the fight, I forgot that-!”
“Tch! D-Don't worry about it kiddo.” you reply through teeth gritted against the pain. “You sure got me good.”
“Let me heal you.” she says, raising both hands towards you, looking worried and more than a little guilty at the damage she caused.
