>>5953781“Haaaah.” you sigh out, readying yourself as you take your stance. Maza charges, closing in and readying a heavy right. But it was a feint, half-swinging his right before twisting and firing a sharp left jab at your face. Twisting your body and leaning your head back, you narrowly avoid the fast blow, slipping past his body. Before he can draw his hand back you grab his left wrist with your own left, reaching around with your right to grab his right wrist as well. Then, before he can react you drive your right knee up and into his back between his shoulders.
“GAAAAAHuuHAAAAAA!” he cries out, your heavy blow along with your hold of his arms immobilizing him. Arms stretched painfully back straight due to your grip, you have him trapped. “GYAAAAAAH!”
“That's enough, Maza.” you say, not letting up the pressure in the slightest. If you let him have even a bit of slack in his arms, he could flip backwards and break free, driving his knee into your face. A lesson you'd learned practicing with Meloka years ago, when she'd used the same move to escape. “Stop.”
“GRRRR! I! WON'T! QUIT!!” he snarls, you sensing his power surging. As he does, you raise your own power as well, quickly forming your Energy Body around yourself. “HAAAAAA!!”
With a roar he unleashes another Explosive Wave, but your own ki shields you from the blast. You feel layers of your ki get blasted away, yet he isn't powerful enough to get through your technique. Gritting your teeth you put a bit more pressure on his back with your knee, Maza ending the attack as he cries out in pain.
“Enough, Maza. Stop.” you order, feeling your son continue trying to pull against your grip for another few moments. But, you then feel it when he relents, powering back down. As his powerlevel drops you release him, letting go of his arms and letting him fall forward a bit. As your son returns to his base form he drifts down towards the ground. You follow him, not powering back down yourself as he lands, falling down to all fours.
“Dammit. Why? Why...?” he mutters, raising his right and slamming his fist on the ground. Cracking the tree root his fist strikes, sending splinters flying around as you land just beside him. For a moment you just stand there, unsure how to react. But after a couple seconds you kneel down, placing your right hand on his back. “I did it again. I gave up.”
