It's not just a bunch of nonsense and folly however, as you notice a change in the humans as much as they notice one in you. Before you were nothing but some hideous monster to be feared, and in the past months you made a strong effort for them to at least tolerate you, not simply scream and flee from or attack on sight. Though your efforts to find a place in their spirits (at least these people) hasn't accomplished much, your participation here at the gathering casts you in a new and better light to most of these people; they're starting to accept you. By seeing you joining alongside them and doing what they do, attempting they way they do it, you're becoming less a sea monster to them and more a Gaelan. Not, and never a human, but a Gaelan nonetheless... and a Gaelan deserves and has the right to be heard at the gathering.
<span class="mu-b">"...and that's when I pulled my arms close... like this!"</span> you jerk your outstretched arms to your chest in demonstration.
<span class="mu-s">"-wah!"</span> a few Gaelans yell as they fall off your body or are knocked aside by your sudden strong movement.
<span class="mu-b">"-ah, sorry! Sorry, but it was like that! Like that, I ripped the tentacles from the body, and started biting into the kraken!"</span>
Maybe one too many kegs to drink, as you sit by the big fire amid the large crowd of all sorts of gathered people, relating stories of your adventure and coming to be here with them all. Winning their minds over along with their hearts...
---
<span class="mu-b">"-this is stupid! They won't let me speak because I'm not male?!"</span>
<span class="mu-s">"...it's... more complicated than that..."</span>
<span class="mu-b">"They didn't even know until they were told, you humans can't tell by looking!"</span>
Although you had quite an enjoyable time with the humans yesterday and may have gotten a little carried away into the night, it wasn't so much that you can't fully function for the meeting of the clans after midday. You made an effort to restrain your drinking, although it could be that you are getting used to the booze these humans drink. Despite the effort though and all your well-received generosity and gift-giving to the assembled leaders, you still eventually find yourself denied a chance to address them all yourself personally. In fact if you hadn't brought the wealth of treasures to give out to the clan leaders, you wouldn't even have been permitted a place among the standing stones with the rest of the leadership of the various clans.
<span class="mu-s">"It would look worse if you turned to anger and violence, I believe I can speak for you in this."</span>
<span class="mu-b">"-no, I may as well not speak at all then... forget this, I want to fight the King then. I beat him in a challenge, then I get to talk."</span>
Poor Osgar, leader of your associated clan, has his work cut out for him.
