The spiritual link between Hawkodesh and you is cut, and with that, the conversation is over. You are back to your own thoughts.
Oh, man. That was tense! All you want is to whack demons and save your tribe. Why is that not enough for this preachy bird? His constant sermons are getting so, SO annoying. A parrot is what you'd call him. 'Parrotkodesh', yeah...
To trust Anu is one thing. He saved your skin, gave you cool powers to fight the demons with and, most importantly, Mom is on his side. She would never, ever follow a god who condones cruelty and other bad stuff. All things considered, you don’t see many reasons to doubt Anu’s intentions, so maybe you should stop being so damn paranoid and start being more grateful...
… But to LOVE him is on a whole different level. And that’s a step too far. One cannot simply ‘decide’ to love someone. You either do or you don’t… well, as far as you know anyway. You have lots of trouble understanding all this spiritual fluff. In any case, you’d rather save this love for your tribe, the people you’ve interacted with your whole life. If you never felt anything towards Gnolrek in all these years, why would you suddenly start having feels for Anu? You just don’t care about letting gods of any sort in your heart, no matter how well-meaning they are. Does that make you a vain simpleton or something? Is it right to be like this? Who knows.
Phew! All this thinking is leaving you exhausted. At least the bird gave you a good idea at the end. Talking to Mom at some point is bound to clear some of your doubts.
