TalOS gave a nod as he heard those words. Within a moment he turned towards the individual who was first to speak, a Nobleman from Tyris, “You may speak Majister Elcor.”
“Thank you Fabricator General.” the man said as he rose, “Magos 3KL4R, we do not need additional enforcement upon our world. While I cannot deny the horrors and waste of these… acts… they are few and far between! It does not warrant the need for Skitarii to join the Enforcers. It is too much for a situation that I believe can be resolved with investment.”
“Elcor, it is your planet that has been one of the offenders in this.” Pointed out the Priest, “Even if it was as small as you imagine the issue is, the practice is a gross use of the Machine God’s resources. It is not though, ten thousand have been lost due to these practices.”
“Ten thousand is not that many, honored Magos.” the noble said as he looked on in confusion, “I do not understand why you think these numbers are large.”
“Any resource lost due to incompetence and subterfuge is a travesty to the Machine God.” pointed out the Tech Priest with a bark.
“Hold on the debate, another wishes to speak.” TalOS declared as he turned towards another Priest, “Magos Ketter, you may speak.”
“Thank you Fabricator General.” the Priest said as he turned to the crowd, “I wish to place my support in favor of sending only aid. We do not need to stretch the Legio Skitarii thin by turning them into Enforcers for other worlds. It might be just as much a waste of resources as having those people die.”
“Then we simply disagree on factors.” Pointed out the Magos from Lucius, “I wish it said that I believe the investment will be very beneficial, and I leave that case.”
As they finished speaking TalOS had to think. If he was not mistaken Tyris was a planet that joined Lucius more for the fact they were uniting man than the amenities they provided. As for the larger scale, it was a power grab by the Magos of Lucius to stop the Tech Heresy being committed upon these worlds. TalOS could only guess those from the colonies feel that if the Skitarii are used like this, than what stops the Federation from sending the same Skitarii to their worlds.
