Far, far to the east, the watchful and ever scheming serpent placed down a furtive new species. Humanoid snakes, lacking in intelligence. Animalistic by nature, they hunt in packs along the desert sands feasting on whatever small beasts they can find. He watched them with contempt, their struggle. If they were to survive, they may have to do it without him.
The Serpent-Twisted flourished in their new home among the archipelago. Small hovels sprung up underwater and within rock crevices. Their cousins on and aside Effie's isle had used magma-chambers as shelter during the conflict with the goblins, and still maintained their homes now.
