“It will.” Lorch agreed as he strained his fist, “I am thankful for our Father to bless us with this campaign even if it is not with his presence. Do you remember a time when traveling the wastes with the wind blowing against your helm?”
There was a long pause from the Dreadnaught to those words. Lorch wondered for a moment if he had accidently done something before he finally spoke, “I do. Every now and then I do remember my past life.”
“The conquest of the Ursh comes to my mind. Their wide open fields where we could ride across without impediment. The only difference I feel is that we are allowed to indulge.”
“Complete Extermination.” The Dreadnaught said as he gave himself another silent moment, “Such an order was only given against the Nordafriks. Just as these Xenos are, they did not have a spot within the future of mankind.”
“The people of Ursh were lucky that the Emperor saw a future for their people for the crimes they had committed.” Declared Lorch as his heart began to beat heavily, “It is odd, yet have we been attacked by foul machinations of the Warp.”
“These Xenos do not have the potential of humanity, for both good and depravity.”
“It is in the name of the Machine God that we serve towards the future. May he guide us away from such pains.” Said the Acillian as he had clasped his hands for a moment.
Hearing those words Lorch felt himself reassured for a moment. Things were changing at such a pace these days that he wondered what was in store next. A vow that they would not go towards the darkness like he saw in those times was an assurance that they were on the right path.
“Even as we step away from the Emperor’s grace towards that of the Machine God, we do so in righteous company. Forever shall we be against the damned.” Artur read the mind of Lorch as the two living members of the group finished their drinks.
