The Actual AI gave me the most hippy PC bullshit about how women drive progress despite men driving war when I tried to have an actual AI generate the summary. Winners were Military, Trade, War, Polygamy, and I chose to skew the gender ratio because it was a three way tie for 5th.[/spoiler:lit]
"Well, let me see how the engine summarized it..." She says, raising an arm and pulling up a screen that only she can see.
<span class="mu-i"><span class="mu-r">"It is the dawn of 75th Century, the 245th year of the Reign of Robert Boarhewer. Airships dominate the sky as steam titans dominate the land in the movement of goods and people. Money flows and with it flows the violence of a world where no nation can truly overthrow the balance of power. So too does flesh; Freeborn Men are people, and but for the grace of a kind master women and the lower classes are all property... and happier for the protections it gives them under the Bondage Accords..."</span></span>
You give her a look. "You just projected your fetishes onto me, didn't you?"
"No I didn't," she says. "I definitely heard you say something about wanting a slave harem."
Your eyes narrow. Can she read your thoughts? "Sure you did."
You retire for dinner at the table. Herta cooks you up some sausage from the larder, which apparently was magically sealed against rot. She herself retires to beneath the table to beg for scraps... and help herself to another sort of sausage that's a bit more fresh.
You don't complain at all, giving her a pat on the head. "Good girl, good girl..."
"If the other goddesses saw me like this..." She complains through a mouthful of meat. "I don't know what I'd do... being made to do this my a despicable human while he praises me like a dog, it's so... ah~!"
You don't remind her that you didn't give her any orders like this, you just asked her to make dinner.
After your meals, your mind is nice and clear. A though comes back to you: "Wait a second... I meant to ask, how do I deal with goblins?"
Herta looks at you and shrugs. "I dunno, shoot them or something?"
"But I don't have a gun," you point out.
"Oh," she says... before shrugging again. "How about that razor wire, then?"
You stare at her face for a moment, seeing the line of <span class="mu-i">certainly not drool</span> trailing down the corner of her mouth. Well, she's at least good for her sex appeal. "You useless goddess... can't you make me a gun?"
"No, those are..." She says for a moment, then her eyes snap open. "Wait, I can! Guns are everywhere in this setting! I can't make you a raygun, but I <span class="mu-i">can</span> make you a high powered air gun!"
Apparently, air rifles are the norm in this setting. Pressure containment advanced faster than anything else, and not needing gunpowder apparently really simplifies the supply chain for these weapons. Some powder guns exist, but mostly for artillery and not infantry.
Herta makes you...
>A 20 Shot Air Rifle
>A pair of 12 Shot Air Pistols
>A 10 Shot Air Shotgun
>A 6 shot Air Marksman Rifle
>(Another Air Gun)
