>Time to ask S-4M some questions.
"Say, S-4M. Got something to ask you after all of that." You wipe away the ichor still clinging to your lips. The constantly cheerful tone of your AI Assistant oddly turns smug. "Ah, questions and answers, right."
[HOPELESS WRECK] WEIRD. HE'S USUALLY MORE OF A KISS ASS THESE DAYS.
You shake your head, dismissing the thought. "So, what the hell is an Oddity? That news article about the mountain talked about it. How do they relate to anomalies?"
S-4M feigns a disappointed sigh. "It's in the name. They're oddities." You squint. "I'm jerking your chain. Essentially, Oddities are occurrences or beings that are weird and unusual but either expire very quickly after manifestation or are too minor to be real 'anomalies'."
"For example, a chain link fence surrounding a patch of empty land that you can't enter no matter what you do. Or a self-perpetuating ball of lightning. Or [REDACTED], even." A hiss of static floods the last example he tried to say.
"Wait, what makes PARADIGMs any different then? They're weird and unusual things too. Like a book that literally lets you cast spells."
"They came from anomalies and, therefore, tend to be very linked towards what it used to be. They share abilities and meaning. Oddities are just their own, self-contained thing."
"Alright, second question. So, ETFs have all sorts of greek letters or other stuff. Is it possible for multiple people to have the same designation? Like a dozen Zetas or hundreds of Alphas?"
[BOUND BY DUTY] You're not sure but those numbers feel right.
S-4M actually takes a moment to pause to process your question, his face replaced with a spinning ball. You wait in your oddly bright room. The red light bulb is still hanging there but somehow, it's just brighter now. Huh, it used to be nearly pitch dark in here.
[HOPELESS WRECK] WEIRD HOW NO ONE MENTIONS IT. YOU'D THINK THEY WOULD FIND THIS PLACE CREEPY.
[DYING LIGHT] Perhaps they rather just get any interview done and over with instead of critiquing you?
"Sorry for the delay. Yes, there can be. They are code names, after all, it's not like they want the agents to use their real names." S-4M pulls up a small list of greek letters, going from Alpha to Omega. "I think they're given based on the Agent's specialization? But the network isn't giving me much."
[BOUND BY DUTY] To easily tell what your value and role is in a single word, that is what the name is for.
[HOPELESS WRECK] THE FUCK DOES ZETA REPRESENT, THEN? IF IT'S MEANT TO BE LINKED TO US?
"So, how common are each of them? Like how that one Agent kept asking if I was 'Zeta'. Was I right in my first guess?"
"I can't give exact numbers but I counted up to Zeta-21, starting at Zeta-Zero. Though this is mostly a bean counter thing for when you have multiple in a single sector or something."
>Admin: Edit anomaly dossiers and logs (Add S-4M's bits about Sunshine and Sunset under their information)
You quickly edit them, done.
