With a thought TalOS placed a stop order to the Astartes who did as they were told. The man, who hung in the air looking as if he still wanted to bow, finally realized that he had gotten TalOS’s attention. That was enough to almost die of fear right then and there.
“Clarification is needed. Do you ask why we did this to you? Why did we conquer you?” TalOS pressed him for more and more information.
“Y-yes. Why.”
“It is because you did not take the treats that we presented to you.” TalOS pointed out with a tinge of anger within his voice, “Your people rejected our advances and denied any advance towards unity.”
“B-but that does not make sense my Lord. You could have still left us be!”
TalOS ran the conversation through his mind and processed was was to be said and what was not to be said, “I would say that you would have been conquered by others but you will only ask what of the Imperium and why they do so. You wish to know why we conquer, the core of why we approached you in the first place.”
“Y-yes! Please! Do so and may I tell the people why a god decided to strike us!”
