Mel looks over, realises it’s you, and scowls. “For someone like you.”
“Mel!” Yoshi hisses, elbowing her friend before turning to you. “Yeah! It is, isn’t it? We wanted to do something big before we left, so we decided on this! Pretty cool, huh?”
“It is,” you admit freely as you meander through the room. You path generally towards the where you can see the templates for gunnery being made. “How did you get such a good view?”
“A combination of going up the island and bugging the aviation club to take us up,” she replies as you subtly examine the templates. They’re mostly the ones you received, but some you’re unfamiliar with, and a few don’t look like tanks at all.
“I heard the aviation club is pretty stingy at times,” you say conversationally.
“Well you heard right,” Mel sighs. “They don’t do anything for free - unless you’re the Sensha-Do club.”
“We founded them,” you shrug as you examine one of the unfamiliar templates. It’s not a tank, but it looks suspiciously like part of one. “How did you afford it then?”
“Well, being commissioned by you guys opened other clubs’ minds to it!” Yoshi cheers. "A lot of other clubs have been asking us about stuff to! We actually had to turn some away!"
"Really? Like who?" You ask.
"Loads of people," she replies. "Your automotive club did, the aviation club, the film club was a big one."
"It helped pay for some of the rides they gave us," Mel grumbles.
